How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Most of the time our products our made to order. After you place your order, please allow 2-5 business days to process depending on size of order and product variety. Domestic orders should only take 3-5 days to ship, and in Ontario possibly even less. United States customers please allow 7-14 business days. 


Do you track packages?

Yes. After your order has been processed and shipped we will send you an email with your tracking number. If you have received a fulfillment email with no tracking number please contact us with your order number and we will provide you with your tracking number.

Which shipping method do you use?

We use Canada Post Expedited Shipping for all orders, however, we do offer several cheaper solutions such as small packet (untracked) for our customers in the US. Please note that untrackable packages are not insured so if anything is to happen to your package you will not be insured for loss or damage and we are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

What if I'm local, can I get free shipping?

Absolutely, charging you shipping would be ridiculous! Please use the code SAUGEENSHORES upon check out to receive free shipping. This only applies to people who live in the townships of SOUTHAMPTON, PORT ELGIN AND SAUGEEN FIRST NATIONS. If you live in Bruce County and don't mind the extra drive you may also use this code. After code is used, you are responsible for emailing us for pick up arrangements. 

Do you offer International shipping?

Unfortunately, we do not ship outside Canada and the United States at this moment. Due to the weight of our products shipping is just too high. However, if you want to email us at with your location we can send your order with a custom shipping estimate.

Will you cover International customs fees?

Unfortunately no. Once the package has left us, we are no longer responsible. International customers will be responsible for any and all fees associated with the transit and arrival of your package. 

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

We currently do not except returns. However, if you've received your candle and it is damaged, please send us a clear photo of the damaged candle to and we will work together to come up with a solution.

We are not responsible for any damage that has come from the mail courier service. We encourage you to choose an insured/trackable shipment option to avoid any loss if something happens during shipment.

Do you offer wholesale or consignment?

Yes, we offer wholesale! Please visit our wholesale page to apply, or email us at with any questions you may have and we will be in contact with you within one business day. We do not offer consignment at this time. Please be aware that we only accept stockist relationships if you have thoroughly read our Buyer's Guide. You must agree to our terms and conditions before orders can be made.

Do you offer bulk discounts for events such as weddings or showers?

We would absolutely love to make your special day better by helping you with favours! Please email us at to inquire about discount pricing for your choice of item and custom labels to suit your event. This also applies to those who own subscription box companies. We look forward to working with you!

How do you recommend burning Northern Flicker candles?

Soy wax is memory wax and will burn to the edge of it's last burn. That's why we recommend burning for 3-4 hours to create a good burn pool. Any less time can create a tunnel, and more time can drown your wick. If you take care of your candle and burn it how we recommend, you can get them to burn for the estimated time indicated in each product description. Coconut wax is a cool burning wax so you should get a long burn if you practice good candle burning. Keep your wicks trimmed to 1/4" and never leave your candle on an uneven surface, or unattended. Cool completely before handling. 

How do you recommend using Northern Flicker wax tarts?

Using an electric wax melter, or a candlelit burner to melt a wax tart. Do not overheat. To exchange scents, harden in refrigerator and pop out.

Why coconut/soy wax?

We love that coconut wax and soy wax are carbon neutral and a renewable resource. It is also clean burning and lasts a lot longer than other waxes like paraffin. We also love that it is non toxic so we can handle it every day and keep our customers safe. It is also 100% U.S grown, vegan and kosher certified. Our wax is GMO free.

Are your candles vegan friendly?

We are very happy to say that, yes, our candles are 100% natural, vegan coconut/soy wax grown by U.S farmers. Our wicks are lead free cotton-core, we do not use any additives or dyes. Our fragrance oils are vegan friendly and the companies who distribute them do not test on animals. 

Do you use essential oils?

Although we would absolutely love to work with essential oils for their healing properties, unfortunately, the burning point is so low in essential oils that they tend to evaporate very quickly. We choose fragrance oils because they have a higher burning point and carry a much stronger scent throw. We use all essential oils for our skin care products.

Are your candles Phthalate free?

We are proud to say we use completely Phthalate free oils that are body safe.
